THE BIG NIGHT! A BIG SUCCESS!

It went soooooooo well!
Tuesday was a very stressful day trying to sort out all the last minute arrangements.
My team, consisting of 5 E.L.F. girls and one camera man and one photographer all met at mine for a briefing on the night.
Had to explain the plan, teach them all about the brand and the products, tell them what kind of images and film footage I needed etc...

The plan-
approach girls towards the back of the queue, tell them........
'we are promoting a new make-up company, we've got loads of samples for you to try out in the limo, you'll also get your photo taken for possible use on the company website, a glass of champagne and a goody bag'.
Then we take them to the limo where 2 more E.L.F. girls are waiting for them. The girls try out the make-up, putting it on themselves, listening to music, drinking champagne........
Then we send them bak to the queue so the next group of girls can get in!

We met the limo 5 mins away from the club where we got in set everything up, music, make-up, wipes, champagne, etc....

Thank you to Craig for putting me in touch with the guy running the night, who said it was all good for me to do what I going to do!

We got a really good spot, near the end of the queue- perfect location!

it started to rain, but that made people want to get in the limo even more!

The reaction from the girls we approached was amazing, they all wanted to get involved, we had a queue of people wanting to come in, so we had a system going where when one lot got out we would go back to the queue for the next lot...

once inside the limo the girls were really enjoying themselves, putting loads of make-up on, putting it on each other, generally having a really good time! it was amazing! I thought they might be a bit more reserved about getting involved with the make-up but they all got stuck in!

The limo was always full!

After my 2 hours was up with the limo, they left and i managed to get us all in to the club after.
And thanks to Jason the lovely security guy, we had all our stuff put safely away in the back rooms and we were given permission to carry on filming and photographing inside the club!
We had some goody bags and flyers left over, so we handed them all out as well, and had a dance!
Got some really nice footage of the club, and people dancing.

Although stressful at times, particularly before we got going, it was such a success and im so happy about the results and reactions we got!

Shopping........

I've got all the stuff I need for the big night....

6 E.L.F.t-shirts
60 Goody bags with lip glosses and flyers
290 spare flyers to hand out
90 mixed E.L.F. products to use as samples in the limo

I've also been shopping and bought

face wipes
box of tissues
12 bottles of fizzy
plastic champagne glasses
pink balloons
two trays to hold make-up in
6 mirrors

and I got some A3 print outs of the logo to put up on the outside of the limo.....

Goody Bags.....

I've packed up all the goody bags, each will have a E.L.F. Plumping Lip Glaze and a flyer inside, and they will given to the girls after they've been in the limo!

having a lil trouble getting hold of a video camera, seeing as the camera I was meant to pick up today has been misplaced, but we're working on it, the lovely man is the hiring place says he will have one for me on Tuesday definately!

otherwise any one got one that records sound well?

Student night!

At Ministry on the 27th of May there is a big student night, where I believe there is easier parking.........

So Friday night, I went out driving around central again.......
then Saturday morning I went around on foot, a much better plan. I wanted to check out the road restrictions, seeing as i will be parked for a while outside the clubs......

right so as I thought, parking is pretty impossible but I have another plan.........

Tip - NEVER drive into central London on a Saturday night.
I did and I spent 2 hours stuck in traffic trying to check out clubs..... my Tom tom was not impressed, as all the roads were blocked off and we kept going around in circles.
So I've emailed loads of clubs asking about their busiest nights....etc, have also been checking out which ones have the busiest best student nights.....

Promotional pack....

Heres the pack I created that is going out in goody bags at events such as the Telegraph Shop Awards........
5000 of the leaflets have been printed so far and are being used as promotional material in various ways by the company....

Promotional Event

So I'm thinking....

Hire a limo to drive to clubs in London, stopping outside clubs (busy ones, with queues and lots of people hanging around outside)... E.L.F girls approach girls in the queues and tell them about ELF and ask them if they want to come to the limo to see try out the products, have a glass of champagne, have their photo taken (which will then be put on the website - therefore drawing more people into the site) give them a goody bag (containing lip gloss, flyer and E.L.F sweets) and take them back to their friends in the queue.
They will only be gone a short while, as they obviously won't want to lose their place in the queue, or I just approach people before they start to queue............
I think the limo would attract a lot of attention, and would be a really fun way of promoting E.L.F...... playing along the idea of a 'girls night out'....

I've spoken to my client and they are up for it!
I need to arrange it perfectly though so as to get my moneys worth out of the use of the limo, ie. sort out which clubs will be busiest and on which night of the week.

The whole event will be filmed and photographed throughout, and used back on the website.

Jar work in progress.....

So I've been playing with cream and chocolate and strawberry sauces and hundreds and thousands.... and the alphabet sweets........
I'm also trying to get away from the circular card....... trying out different methods of labeling the jars, like with tags and ribbons......

Still working on them though..........

So going on the theme of sweets, im trying to get the jars looking good for the shops.......

I'm a lil'bit stuck,,,,,,,

i need to think of an exciting way of promoting this make-up company.......
showing of its excellent quality and even better price... all products £1.50 only...
here's what im thinking...

-mirrors, reflections, and how people look at themselves in anything reflective, maybe sticking something on these places, or leaving something there....

-girls toilets, queing, get their attention while they are waiting..... maybe leave secret notes in toilets, as this brand is new its like a secret not many have heard of.....

-leave photographs of eyes lips and faces all over london...... or even ask people in the street if i can photograph their eyes lips and faces, maybe connect it with the website somehow, by putting the photos up and therefore getting people to visit the site to see their photo...

-set up a dressing table in the street getting people to experiment with products themselves...

-having e.l.f girls tour clubs and bars loaded with make-up......

another thing they've asked me to do......

They have ordered 600 'sweet jars' filled with their products from the US, which they plan to put in high street shops, on the counters near the tills. They have 600 which they plan to 'dress' for retail, so I'm also working on this.....

Goody bags.....

At the moment E.L.F are doing a lot of sampling at events, such as the Telegraph shop awards on the 8th of May.
They have been asked to send in samples for the goody bags, and have asked me to create an informative leaflet to go with the products, and also some how attach the products to the leaflets so they don't get lost within all the other stuff in the goody bags....

So as they have recently ordered a load of sweet jars, which they are going to have in shops, on counters, full of their products.... I suggested putting the products and leaflets in a paper sweet bag, with alphabet sweets, obviously only the E's L's and F's...
they loved the idea and are ordering the bags and sweets in for their next sampling event, the leaflet is currently being printed and sent to the telegraph shop awards for the goody bags.....
